| Trondheim | Oslo- Trondheim Posted: Fri January 14, 2005 06:26 AM UTC
Hey ,
I am a student travelling from Asia to Trondheim for a 10 day conference in feb. I will be landing in Oslo Torp airport and i am planning to take the Norway bussekspress. Can someone tell me how much this would cost me? and is it the cheapest option to travel from there? And also tell me whether i need to book the tickets in advance? |

You can visit the site www.nor-way.no. There you wil see two lines operating from Oslo to Trondheim. Lines 135 and 154. The maximum price is 290 NOK. I doubt you'll be able to find any cheaper. You can book the ticket online. from the front page. Just type in Torp and Trondheim.
Dont think the Bus goes from the airport, so you'll have to get in to Sandefjord using ordinary buses or taxi. Jon

I was wrong. There is one going from the airport. Line 182. change it in Skien to line 194 and go to Oslo. in Oslo you'll have to change to line 135.
This trip takes a little over 14 hours! Jon

Buses in Norway are not always the cheapest option. You'll also have to add for the airport bus plus the bus from Oslo to Trondheim....
It would be worth checking flights on Wideroe (www.wideroe.no) - they have direct flights from Torp to Trondheim, and you can get pretty good deals. Other cheap option is Norwegian (www.norwegian.no), but I think they only fly from Oslo Gardermoen airport.

Nor-Way should go from Torp airport according to their website. You should not have to take the airport bus.
Norwegian only fly from Gardermoen, and a ticket from Oslo to Trondheim will set you back some 470 NOK. That isn't counting the price for the airport shutle bus at Torp, Oslo, or Trondheim. Jon

Hey Jon.
Thanks a lot for the information provided. But while browsing throught the www.nor-way.no site, i came to know that there are no buses from Torp airport to Trondheim directly. I will be landing by ryan air around 4 pm on the 10th Feb and need to take a bus from Torp. Could you please advice me on this. THANKS A TON...!!!

looks like the bus oslo-trondheim only goes mondays-thursdays-fridays-sundays 11:20... that mean if u whant the bus u need to stay over a night..then it might be cheaper and faster to try to get a plane to trondheim if u get hold of some cheap tickets
from the airport torp there is a bus in to the oslo bus station or the train station and it takes about 2 hours found tickets one way for 400 norwegian kroner from torp to trondheim leaving the same evening...its take about an hour www.wideroe.no hope u have a great time in trondheim
