Harbin when does the ice&snow festival finish?
Posted: Fri January 14, 2005 05:09 AM UTC
Hi all,
I am looking at going to Harbin during the second half of Feb, but are the ice sculptures still there?
I will only be in China for the remainder of this year, so if I want to see it (which I do) I figure I should do it soon:-)
If you have any tips on other things to see and do while there, please let me know. Also info on accommodation would be highly appreciated!

Your English is fine, thanks for the info! I thought during the February holiday it will be very difficult to find a hotel to stay (I haven' t booked anything), that is why I am thinkin about the second half of Feb...

Hello,
This is Harry Winterbon. I saw you post and I cant help replying to you. Now it is the best period for people to see the Ice and Snow Festival. If you come here during your planned time, the ice and snow that make into kinds of shapes can not wait you for that long time, they will melt some, which doesnot look like what they should . I hope you can get me. The hotel is no problem, never in a rush. If you have some other question, plz drop me a line. i can be reached by email at harrywinterben@yahoo.com.cn,
cheers,
Harry

I think it might be too late. I think make it before Feb would be a good choice. About accommodation, I think we should know how much you wanna pay for it.;)

Unfortunately before Jan and the first week of Feb are not possible, due to work commitments.. However, we are thinking of going just after the Chinese NY, for a few days.
I have heard that the Modern hotel is a nice place to stay. What other (not too expensive hotels) can you recommend (location, price)?
Saw a few of your photos, stunning!

As per hotels. I think Modern is pretty good since it is really well known.
