Has anyone else traveled Rt.66 back in late 1959 or early 1960? If so, would love to hear from you!

| Gallup | RE: Rt.66 Posted: Mon April 4, 2005 11:53 PM UTC Hi Read your posting and wanted to say I traveled Rt 66 in the 60s. I was born in 1958 and lived in a small town outside Albuquerque called Los Lunas. My grand parents were from Encino near Vaughn New Mexico which is part of Rt 66 the old Route. And I would travel threw Mountain Air and then Belen to get to my home in Los Lunas. What Ive told anyway that people use to stay in the hotel's in Encino traveling from Chicago and from all over the North traveling to California. I use to watch the sun setting in the West and dream of going to California and getting off the farm. That was when I was a kid growing up. Now Im not so much into the big citys. Have a good day. Dave
