Apartment/studio dubrovnik

We are staying in Dubrovnik from May 23rd to May 28th and think apartment is best option for us. There seems to be huge choice, but cant decide whether to stay in the old town or one of the surrounding neighbourhoods. We will eat out all the time so being within walking distance of restaurants etc would be great, is there a sort of central point that means we could walk to most places?

If I had the chance to stay within the old town, i would do that. From what I remember, there was not much in the way of shops and restaurants outside of the old part - but perhaps I wasn't in the right area. The old town is really beautiful and I am sure it is very nice at night. We only ate there once at night and enjoyed it.

We stayed in Cavtat, which is a beautiful little town nearby with excellent bus connections. You could consider staying there but if you don't, you should at least visit - very pretty!

Enjoy Croatia - it is a beautiful and friendly country!
