I am planning to go to Switzerland this coming August with my family. We were looking into renting a chalet or apartment instead of staying in a hotel. Does anyone have any information on companies that rent vacation homes. We are staying from August 20-28. It would be nice to stay in the Bernese Oberland or close to Berne. Thank you

This is easy. There are companies which act as agents for chalets/apartments but I think you are better finding these direct. Let me explain, companies like Interhome will have many quality chalets available thru online booking etc. As a better example www.grindelwald.com has an apartment search engine that will put you in touch with the owners directly and you will get better information and I may argue better value. If I was going to the Bernese Oberland (and I have visited many times) I would always stop in one of the "mountan resorts" rather than the cities/towns. More advice available if you want it and visit (and rate) my pages!
