| Las Cruces | Moving to Las Cruses Posted: Sat January 8, 2005 04:20 PM UTC
Hello Everyone! I need information, any and all opinions on Las Cruses or Deming area. We are moving and trying to decide if Renting before buying would be the way to go. We plan a vacation around Memorial Day to look see. My husband is retired and I will be working, so am interested in areas close enough the commute isn't a killer. Thank you for your help.

Deming has constant high winds, Las Cruces where we were for 4 years before moving to Tucson is slow paced and if you are not hispanic there is a ting of discrimination against anglos. If you have health problems look elsewhere as the medical situation there is horrid. Cannot recommend. South Texas is very nice place to retire or I might look at Yuma.
Tucson is too fast but below tucson green valley and the other towns are mostly retirement towns. I-19 south to nogales is a good place.
