| Curaçao | Is it possible to have a flight from Curacao to somewhere in south america? Posted: Tue January 4, 2005 06:47 PM UTC
Hello everybody!
Happy new year and lots of travelfun in 2005!!!! I have a question about a flight from curacao to countries like Peru, Mexico, Venezuela, etc. What are the possibilities and which company's fly from Curacao to south america? We want to book a plane-ticket from Amsterdam to Curacao to somewhere in South America and back to Amsterdam. Does anybody know which company has such tickets? Or is it cheaper to book a return ticket from curacao to south america? Does anybody know prices??? Please give me all the information you can find!!! Internet wasn't really helpfull with this difficult plane-ticket!!! Thanks a lot, greetings Karin! |

I think American Airlines comes closest, but you probably have to fly via Miami.
Why not take the boat to Venezuela and fly from there. PJ

There a couple of possibilities.
Venezuela: Aeropostal has daily connections to and from caracas. From caracas you can travel on with the same aeropostal to other latin american countries. There also some other smaller airlines flying up and down from curacao to the mainland. Places like valencia and las piedras. Colombia Avianca flies a couple of times a week from curacao to colombia. Same as aeropostal you can connect in colombia to other countries. I have friends who used these connections to get to Chili and Argentina. They told me the connections and service is very good better than aeropostal. KLM KLM flies to Peru and Ecuador making a stop in the netherlands antilles on Bonaire. This is not Curacao but maybe something can be arranged with KLM. These flights are 5 /6 times a week. The option mentioned in the other reply of American Airlines is also valid but this maybe a more expensive option. You asked about prices I would recommend you go to a very patient travel agency or use the internet (Expedia or travelocity) to figure out the best prices . The airline business is very tricky nowadays adn you dould end up with cheaper tickets if arrange from Europe instead of flying down here with KLM and trying to arrange the flights from here. I hope this helps, Hubert
