| Cape Breton Island | Traveling from Maine Posted: Thu December 30, 2004 02:49 PM UTC
Hi there~ My boyfriend and I are headed to Ingonish on Cape Breton Island for a week's vacation. We'll be leaving from Bar Harbor, Maine, and were wondering how long the journey would be. Any ideas?
Also, we plan on skiing while we're up there, but we're open to any other suggested activities for this time of year. Thanks! |

Hi; If you're driving, it will likely take about 6-8 hours, depending on the road conditions during this time of year. The highways from Bangor right through to the New Brunswick / Nova Scotia border are excellent, and they're pretty good for the rest of the trip. Check the Weather Network for road conditions prior to your trip and you should be fine.
As for stuff to do in Cape Breton during the winter.... I'd suggest snowmobiling and skiing. Otherwise I'm not sure what to recommend. Enjoy your trip!
