Ko Lanta Travel Forum

I have many friends on this beach, especially at Lanta Sea house, there seems to be little or no information available about Lanta, apart from what is listed in this forum! News reports about the condition of the island are conflicting, and ive checked just about every website listing the conditions of hotels etc that i can! if anyone knows anything i would be most grateful

Although i dont have any specific information, i came across personal reports from people who were on lanta at the time of the tsunami. check out their web pages for photos and accounts:

According to these it appears to have suffered less than most of the other affected areas. i hope this helps in some way

No problem, it also gave me some consolation, although i have still not heard from my friend who i i believe was on lanta at the time. i also found this posting on another site..

although i imagine he is probably swamped with requests at the mo. good luck in your continued search

thanks again, I heard back from the guy who runs the mythicaldude website, his daily updates are quite useful for finding out what beaches are worst hit, better than a news website anyway!
