I'm new to the Vegas area (from Florida) and was wondering if I wanted to visit Mt. Charleston now or in January, must I have a 4WD vehicle or chains on my tires (seeing that I don't). Thanks.

If you see snow chances are you will be required to have chains to drive up there. You can call 877-687-6237 for current road conditions.
