| Corvara in Badia | Weather and Distance Posted: Fri February 7, 2003 01:22 PM UTC
I'm planning to drive from Munich to Corvara area in mid-June. Any idea what the weather will be like this time of year in Corvara? Will the hiking trails be covered with snow or ice? How long will it take to drive to Corvara from Munich.
Thanks in advance for info. |

Try checking this site out. You might get info there on weather, drive time, etc.
http://www.altabadia.org I believe the summer season starts in March onwards. I have been walking on the trails around Corvara in the Dolomites in August. It could get a bit cold at times (then again, last summer was a weird one all around Europe!). I'm sure by June the trails will no longer be covered in snow.

We just did that two weeks ago.
It took us about 3.5 hours of net driving, the last part of it, climbing the mountain, in total darkness. Add about 30 minutes, if you want to stop for a snack on the way. Some of the stopping points have great strudels. It took us more then 5 hours to get back a week later, but that was in a snow storm, which I don't think you have to fear in June :-) HAve fun
