any strategic hotel ocation us$20 at old quarter

i b in hanoi for 2nights only. i want to effectively use my time to explore what must visit n what must buy souvenier. any good advise

there are plenty of hotels in the old quarter for less than $20US. Just hop in a taxi at the airport and tell the driver what you want Ho Kiem district hotel less that $20 and they will find you one. Inspect it first though.

In Hanoi, we stayed at the Phan Thai Hotel (also known as the Camellia 4) in the
old quarter. We paid around $20US for a clean room with AC, cable TV and a
“balcony” (more like a planter) overlooking the busy streets of old Hanoi. The
scooters were a bit noisy, but I loved being in the middle of it all. I highly
recommend this place! They will arrange for a driver to pick you up at the
airport for $10. Do it! Otherwise you will end up at a different hotel. It'll cost you $10 to get to the city from the airport anyway!
