I will be moving from Damascus to Rabat in late january and i need to find a place to live! I have never been in Rabat, and i don't know much...but i would like to live in the old city. I found a place in the Kasbah (old part of Rabat) and will be moving there for 5 months starting in January. Just ask around once you get there.

The old casbah on the cliff ubove the mouth of the river is a beautiful place to live and there are some houses/ apartments that are regulary rented to foreigners. It's an ideal spot because itr is also right infornt of tthe medina (old town) and everything is within walking distance.
Just go to the "Oodaeeya" (Not real spelling), the word for that neighborhood and ask any store keeper. You'd be surprised how much people know. There are also renatl agencies in front of the medina in the new town .

I am moving to Rabat on October 1, and I am curious about finding housing in the city. Did you find a private apartment to rent? Or did you rent a room from a family? I would really appreciate any advice that you could offer to me... Thank you!

I am also moving to or close to Rabat with my partner. Anyone get an idea on prices for a long term lease (atleast 6 months to a year) for a two or three bedroom appartment?
