Does anyone know how it is to get groceries in Addis Ababa? Are there any well stocked supermarkets?? If there are what are the names. If anyone can hel me out with this it would be great. Thanks

Pls be informed that Addis Ababa, the new flower is one of those fast growing and well developed capitals in Africa. As a seat for the African Union head office, it has got every facilities such as international standard airport, hotels, restaurants and also shopping mall.

u can find well stocked supermarkets in Addis which of course provide u every of yr needs and 4 sure there is nothing u miss from the supermarkets. As far as I know Abrico Supermarket is working for 24hrs and there are also other supermarket which works up to 9:30 in the evening and to mention some, Shi Solomon, Novis, Ethio Supermarket, Fantu Supermarket, Bambis Super markets.

I think so far it is clear.

Super markets - you'll find them in Bole area.
For groceries everywhere in the city you'll find small shops where they sell all kind of fresh groceries.

For instance what I did not see in the 9 weeks I was in Addis are the light products eg coke light - but from this you can buy
your shopping as you do at home while the assortiment is smaller - improvise and try !
