| Capri | Capri in March Posted: Thu December 9, 2004 06:24 PM UTC
Dear VT Forum Readers,
My husband and I are going to Naples between late February and the begining of March, to visit Pompeii and Capri... I'm afraid about the weather, and I'm not sure if it is worth to visit the island, although I know that in sumer time its too crowded and its a bit uncomfortable. Can we visit the "Grotta Azzura" or is it closed in winter? Waiting for your answer.... |

Hi !
I once spent a great week in Napoli in December. There was a lot of sunshine and nice weather during the day and a thin pullover was enough and sometimes even too much in the sun. March is certainly also a good chance for nice weather and a lot less tourists at the attractions ! Grotta Azzura - I am nor sure about regular boats going there for cheap prices in a group. On the other hand you may certainly arrange a trip with one of the many fisherboats in Capri - it might be good though to find some friends or other tourists from your hotel to share such a trip. Ercolano / Herculaneum is similar to Pompeji and yet different and interesting in many ways !

Thank you very much, I'll discuss with my husband to find out if we can stay one more day so that we can also visit Herculanum.
