I know the hotels Casinos are not expensive in LV. They want to attract the gamblers.
We will stay in LV in early July 2003.
Could you tell us on your opinion which one is the best casino to stay ? (a couple without chidren)

To be more precise : what is the most amazing (I think it is the best translation in this circumstance for the French adjective : surprenant) ?
An exception : the Circus Circus in which we stayed in 1998.
Thanks
RAY

The hotels at Mandalay Bay, Bellagio, Luxor and Mirage are probably the most luxurious. As for being amazing, at the Luxor the rooms are built into the side of the pyramid so the lifts move at an angle! And at New York, New York you can stay in a miniature Empire State Building.

The Stratosphere (the tall tower) is also unique but the hotel is at its base and not at the top.

You'll get the best prices mid-week. Vegas gets busy and more expensive when Californians drive in for the weekend. Try lasvegas.com for reservations. If you find the prices are too high, look for somewhere decent off the Strip, like the Orleans, Rio or Palace Station.

Be careful...traditional Vegas hotel rooms have horrible wallpaper so you don't stay in the room and go out gambling!

You should be able to get some good deals in July, Ray. I can highly recommend the Bellagio, and I know that the Venetian often has very nice rooms at a good rate - another fun place to stay along with Paris which would be a bit silly for you, but I love their shops and buffet lunch!!

Hi Ray,

My personal favorites are Caesar Palace, Venetian and Luxor, in this order. Caesar Palace is huge (maybe the biggest casino in LV). One can easily spend hours walking its immense halls. The dinning area of Venetian it’s very impressive, with high ceilings that are painted resembling blue skies. And, as jayhawk mentioned before, Luxor room s are quite an experience :-)

Hope you have fun in Vegas!

Regards
Alfredo

Guyon,
Caesar's Palace is great. We had a room with a jacuzzi and mirrors all over the place, even on the ceiling LOL
Plus, knowing how much your wife likes to shop, the" Forum" shopping center is wonderful, right there at the hotel. And with the Euro being so high now, she'll have a lot of fun.

They have a reduced rate in July from 6th to 11th. Why ?

I most certainly recommend the Luxor. Yes, you're at the end of the strip but it makes it easier to head down the strip if you please. The Luxor has fantastic rooms and great pool area. It's probably discounted because not many people want to visit Vegas in July when it is so unbelievably hot.
