The Falklands are difficult and expensive to get to unless you are a serving member of the British armed services. Currently only one civilian airline flies to the Falkland Islands that being LanChile flying from Madrid to Santiago chile and then on to Mount Pleasant. The other air service serving the islands is that of the RAF flying from Brize Norton which for a civilian is even more expensive and seats are limited. A number of cruise ships stop off at the Falklands during the Austral summer, I remember The Norwegian Dream arriving in Stanley and doubling the town's population! If you can get to the Falklands you will find the islands one of the most fascinating places on earth for wildlife and one of the most ruggedly beautiful places too. Good luck.
