Hello!
I will have one day to spend in windhoek. I'm not sure if I can goa and disappear from my travelling companion (or with him) because there'll be some people waiting for us.
What is the best place of Windhoek to see, in your opinion at daytime? What about the night time - any REALLY spectacular places?
It'll be all very spectacular, don't get me wrong, but just something-- really, really the best you love in Windhoek...

would not say anything is so spectacular to be mentioned as Windhoek is rather smallish as most places in Namibia. What I found quite funny is going up to the church on the hill and overlook the area. Look down the road you just came up and follow it out into nowhere in the desert. It works on all sides in Windhoek. I usually use it as gateway and stay at the Country Club outside town.

Go to Joe's Beer house, for some great food and to enjoy a evening out.Book !

A: don't buy icecream sold in a store on the main strip there
b: go to the AWESOME street market (but only once every two weeks (at least it used to be - I think its on a Wednesday??) --- and!

There is nothin spectacular in Whindhoek to see. Go to a nice restaurant and enjoy a good meal! It costs almost npthing =)
