The bus fare from Puerto Montt to Bariloche is 14.00 US$. This trip takes 7 hours.

From Santiago to Puerto Montt, the bus fare is $ 7.000 (US$ 12), and takes 11 to 12 hours.
After December 15, and until March 15, this price hikes to a double, at least ($14.000 -> US$ 24). De Santiago a Puerto Montt, cuesta $ 7000 (US$ 12) hasta el 15 de diciembre, y el viaje toma entre 11 y 12 horas. Entre el 15 de diciembre y el 15 de marzo, este precio sube al doble (US$ 24), por lo menos. Daniel

At any ticket booth from the bus companies serving the route.
In Santiago, TUR BUS/PULLMAN BUS has their main terminal -called TERMINAL SANTIAGO- on Alameda, connected directly to Universidad de Santiago subway station. You can also buy the tickets -even a year ahead- on any of their computerised ticket selling points, spread all around the city, on every bus terminal (San Borja, Los Heroes and Alameda ->also known as Terminal Sur) and on Universidad de Chile subway station too. You can also buy the tickets online, at www.turbus.cl, and www.pullmanbus.cl. But there are also several other very good companies serving the same route with BUS CAMA : Varmontt, Bus Norte and Cruz del Sur, which have selling points at Terminal Sur, San Borja, and also in Torres de Tajamar, in uptown Providencia. Cruz del Sur also goes directly to Chiloe island (Ancud and Castro) with buses cama (sleepers) Daniel
