HELLO! PLANNING TO GO BEIJING NEXT YEAR. CAN YOU GIVE ME APPROXIMATE HOTEL RATES IN BEIJING NEAR GREAT WALL OF CHINA? MAY I ALSO KNOW IF I CAN TAKE A TRAIN FROM PUDONG TO BEIJING? HOW MANY HOURS WILL IT TAKE? HOW MUCH TO SPEND FOR THE TRAIN RIDE? THANKS

I'm not sure the rate of the hotel, but I don't think any one wants to live near the Great Wall. The Great Wall is not inside Beijing city, it's in the country, I don't think there is any good hotel there. Most people will live in Beijing and take a day tour to the Great Wall.
You have to go to Shanghai train station to take train to Beijing. There are 5 trains depart from Shanghai around 7pm to Beijing without making any stop, it takes about 12 hours, so you can arrive in Beijing at 7am next morning.
