I am travelling to Nairobi, Kenya via Addis Ababa (Ethiopian air). We have a 7 hour lay over at the ADD airport. If we are not leaving the airport during the lay over,, do we still need a visa? My travel agent said no, while the Ethiopian Embassy said yes. Can anyone clear this for me?

if you do not leave the airport than you do not need a visa. i have the same situation, but i am leaving airport to see the market. even if you decide to leave you can leave your passport with the customs agent instead a buying a visa.
