Which trek is more dazzling, Kilimanjaro or Mt. Kenya? Only have time for 1.

all the mountan is in east africa but its very hard to climb mount kenya its best if you can climb mount kilimanjaro the african tours can organise it for you for the chipest and good service try them on

i have a couple of freinds who have climbed both and they liked mount kenya the most.
there are a lot less tourists and you don't have to dish as much money out as on kilimanjaro.
you can pretty much climb mount kenya youself, while you must go through an agency on kilimanjaro.
both mountains are possible to climb for any fit person and require no climbing skills.
you must be fir though and have respect for the high altitude.

Can i through a spanner in the works and say do MT MERU!! i have been in tanz for a year and did kili and meru. Both brilliant and beautiful but if you want to spend all of your time watching american tourists rather than animals then go for MERU. It is a harder climb because there isnt such a well beaten track but there are a lot more animals and the views are spectacular!!

Have to agree with Sam. Mt Meru is the one to do. Much more interesting than Kili and it has great views across to Kili. If you are interested I can put you in touch with the outfit that I trekked it with. Have fun what ever you climb. Nigel
