What are the apartments/housing like for locals living in Shenzhen? I have a friend who is going to visit someone and he would like to know what to expect when he stays there.

Can vary SOOOO much- I was very unlucky when my company put me up in their company apartment, it was really bad. The place was falling apart and the electrics were really dangerous. But... I know there are also some great apartments there, some people I know had wonderful places.
Just be aware of possible dangers with the electrics. Cheers, Jem
