ok, so we were supposed to stay at Serena Hotel for our honeymoon, but there might be a problem. i guess there were some complaints and the timeshare palce called and wants to move us. Serena had the feel that we wanted being more laid back than a huge resort type place. has anyone stayed at Serena or know anything about it??

I dont'know if you've seen it already but this is their website:
http://www.serena.com.mt/ The hotel is located in Xlendi, a very nice part of gozo. The owners of the hotel are known to be very nice and friendly - as most Gozitans are! :) You can find other places in gozo in similar styles i'm sure. There are many family run places. Another nice popular in place in Gozo is Marsalforn. They also have some nice newly renovated hotels which are beautiful. good luck & enjoy ur honeymoon! ;)
