I was wondering how to get to Grachen. We are traveling by train Nov.5 from Zurich and plan on spending 2-3 days in the Zermatt area. Is there bus or taxi service from one of the stops as you approach Tasch? Any info on rates as well. Thanks

You have to take the Train From Zurich to Brig (Direct Trains Avaiable)
Then Change to the Regional Train To Zermatt. You have to change at "St. Niklaus" to the Bus wich takes you up to Grächen. Traveling Time from Zürich: approx: 4 1/2 hours The Timetables are Avaiable at www.rail.ch (choose "Grächen-Post" in The DropDown-Menu) From Grächen there are different coach tours to Zermatt avaiable . The cheapest way is by Train: Thake the bus, down to St.Niklaus and the the Direct Train to Zermatt. Another nice Way. to get to Grächen is over the Glacier-Express Route: Zürich - Chur (Fast-Train ) Depart: 09:12 Chur - Täsch (Glacier-Express, Direct) Täsch - Grächen (Bus-Service) arrival 16:40 If you have more questions about your trip, (about trains, connections and tickets), please contact me by VT-Mail Kind Regards from Switzerland
