I am visiting Great Keppel over christmas and was just wondering what to expect from the nightlife/partying and so on.

Hi there!
I was on Great Keppel last December and the atmosphere of the resort is quite different now to what it used to have a reputation for. The resort on Great Keppel is now very much family-focussed and the nightclub did not open for the entire time we were there, even the bars were pretty quiet. It seems that they are trying hard to shake-off the "get wrecked on Great Keppel" image (I couldn't even find a corny souvenir T-shirt with the motto on it!). If you are looking for a bit of life you might be good to go for a walk down to the backpackers and the other resort as I think their clientelle are much younger at the Mercure than the resort itself. Hope this post isn't too disappointing! If there is a group of you thought it will still be a fun place to spend a few days, have a great trip!
