Cameron Highland's apartment
Posted: Tue October 26, 2004 05:49 AM UTC
Hi to all...
Me & my family will be going to Cameron during this raya holiday and apart from staying a couple of days in KL, we will be visiting Cameron for the first time. Have booked Jurina Hill Lodge- 2 bedroom apt for 2 nites, is this place ok? Or any other recommendations? So far, they are charging RM280 per nite, which seemed the cheapest among others.
Also, any advise on the road condition going up & down, in respect of the direction from KL?

Hi

Never stayed in Jurina but on my trip to CH recenly, I stayed at Parkland Apartment which was just fine I guess, but it is slightly pricey as compare to Jurina (RM400+/nite if Im not mistaken for 2 bedroom units).

As for the road, frm KL the nearest route is by using the old trunk road via Tapah - its kinda long and winding actually. However, you can take the Simpang Pulai route which is a new highway and less winding. But you'll hve to pass through the strecth of the N-S Highway thats currently partly close due to landslide.

Hve a pleasant trip!

yes, the simpang pulai drive is MUCH better than the Tapah drive. pls check out my driving tips on my CH pages under transportation. I have written up both routes.
enjoy your stay!
PS. no matter where you stay, during this break, it will be crowded.

Thanks to all the feedback & think maybe there is a change of plans....all family members disagree of going cameron, they said it has been raining recently & afraid that the landslide might re-occured again...well, maybe plan for next yr then.

But still, very appreciate for all the responses lahhhh

Bukit Tinggi Resort is just fine for me - not really a fun place to be like its neighbour Genting Highland (no theme park here).

Anyway its a nice place for relaxation. Prolly 1 nite stay would be sufficient to see its attractions - rabbit park, Japanese Garden/Village/Spa etc.

Hve fun !

It is kind of a quiet place. More for a quiet family break, walk about in the French town, have a swim (although it can be quite cold!), stroke the rabbits...there is also a little town where there is good (chinese) food & quite reasonable, just near the Selesa Hill Homes-sorry cannot remember the name of it, but it closes rather early, so dinner should be no later than 6.30pm if you want to check it out.
Last time I was at Bkt Tinggi, just listened to music, sang karaoke and ate sandwiches...no French town yet! :-)
have fun.
