8-9 Burma Itinerary????
Posted: Wed January 22, 2003 09:46 PM UTC
Hey Guys, I'm looking for suggestions on a 8-9 day Intinerary for Burma. My son and I will be going at the beginning of March. What were some of your favorite spots? We will be using local transport such as Bus, Boat, Train. We may add an extra 2 days to this too but haven't decided yet.

This is one of my must countries, I've never been there but wish to get there soon!!

8 or 9 days is nothing for such an interesting place but if you only have this time concentrate on most importanta places, Igess you would catch the plain to move around, roads and rail network seems not to be the fastest and best (that's what I've read). My spots are: Inle Lake, Mandalay, Pegu and its pagodas, and Rangoon. wish you matcha ll them or get the best of Myannmar on your visit.
Will love to look your oage when you return!
Have great trips!!

Well I've decided to make it 12 days for Burma and just cut out some of the days that I was going to stay in Thailand. So it should help me get to Yangon, Mandalay, Bagan and Inle Lake....I hope. I guess I'll find out when I get there.

If you are going for 12 days, I think that you might be able to squeeze in a 2 day Bago-Kyiaktiyo side trip. (The balanced boulder) Definitely worth it.
