Skiing at Christmas!?!
Posted: Thu October 21, 2004 08:14 PM UTC
Hiya everyone!

Ive come up with the idea of trying Skiing when we are in Spain at Christmas this year, I wonder if any of you could advise me on ski conditions in the mountains at this time? Youth hostels or cheap places to stay? Ski schools? Transportation there? The best towns/villages to visit for this in this region?

Any links I can look at??!

Many thanks in advance

Ali

Hi Ali,
i haven't gone to Sierra Nevada for many years, but i think in Christmas is ok for skiing. Normally is ok at the begining of December but depends on the year. For the rest of the questions you can check this website that i found, it's the official Sierra Nevada website:

i hope you find all you are looking for!

Don't miss Granada.
There are plenty Hotels and places to stay up inSierra Nevada village.. i think it is great to stay up there and buy a pass for the telecabina.
I've a small page about it here on VT

Jordan might mean a very early start!!

Remember the snow is softer than a tree if you need to stop. I am told Sierra Nevada conditions are usually Ok at that time. Ski Thomson used to go there, may be worth nicking some ideas from them.

Will think of you when I am in Salzburg.
