| Lofoten | Staying in rorbus at Lofoten Posted: Tue October 19, 2004 10:10 AM UTC
Hi, it's me again. I do think that staying in rorbus is an unique experience. But can anyone tell me how's it like (general speaking)? Is it "morden" enough for tourist? Maybe I'm a little bit naive, but it's quite important during the cold dark winter. I expect it is as comfortable as cabin or cottage, at least. Is it always with cooking facilities?
Any recommendation of rorbus around Svolvaer and Leknes? I know Leknes is a less attractive part of Lofoten, but it's convenience as a base for day trip. Besides, polar night makes not much difference. Thank you. py |

I have stayed in a rorbu at Å i Lofoten. It was like a youth hostel anywhere in Scandinavia with comfortable rooms and a well equipped kitchen.
