Hi all
Has anybody booked with Demfer, they have offered me one way tickets direct into Goa at £385 with Excel.
We are looking at an extended stay.

Any comments?

Before you take a one way charter here for a visit of more than one month please check out the following alarming news I heard a couple of days ago. Apparently if you arrive on a charter your visa will be stamped for 1 month entry only irrelevant of the length or type of visa. This is because charter flights are for tourists only and one month should be sufficient. I also heard this was due to pressure from major carriers concerned at the loss to there business by people coming direct to Goa and not transitting Mumbai.

Hi
I think what kaypee says is right, you can only stay for 1 month if you take a charter flight into Goa, thats what the travel agent has told us,so it looks like we will have to go by schedule to Mumbai and then on to Goa.
We are going in january, when are you going,if you get any further info. please let me know.

That would appear to be it then here we come via Mumbai.
Is the train an option with suitcases etc or is best bet to fly?

Hi there
The train from mumbai takes 10hours we travelled thro the day as couldnt get booked overnight, it is very cheap roughly we paid about £5 each.
It was a great journey no problems, left on time and arrived on time in Goa, but we stayed in mumbai for 3days so we were rested before the train journey, the flight is only about 50mins.
Happy holiday
