| Hollywood | good value, safe area hotels on or around sunset blvd Posted: Fri October 8, 2004 07:59 PM UTC
Hello all,
I'm going to be in Hollywood (sunset blvd) for the week from the middle of October 04 and would like to know what hotels are a good deal. I don't have bucket size pockets but I do want a safe area. Is it true around La Brea Ave and west of that are a bit dodgy? After that I want to stay down by the beach (Santa Monica/ Venice) and the same questions go again. Thanks for reading. Good budget hotels walking distance to bus and subway:
Days Inn Sunset Blvd Motel 6 Whitley Better choices, but more $$$$ Holiday Inn on Highland Comfort Suites on Highland Best Western Sunset Plaza(best, but most $$) Budget hotel in Westwood near UCLA: easy bus ride to Hollywood and also to Santa Monica. Claremont Hotel (310) 208-5957 Budget choice in Marina del Rey near Venice www.jollyrgr.com Better choice in Santa Monica but more $$$ www.baysidehotel.com
