| Toshkent Shahri | Concerning a few Travel Requires to Tashkent Posted: Fri October 8, 2004 03:25 PM UTC
Do I need a letter of inviation from the person I am going to visit?
Is it true you have to have your passport three months before you can even request a visa to go to Tashkent? Do they speak both Uzbeck and Russian in Tashkent? Is it common for people to work twelve hours a day (with overtime) and only get off one day a month? I am curious of the cost of living in Tashkent or anywhere else in the country? Is 50 US a normal wage for a worker in Tashkent? I am going to Taskent in the middle of February of 2005. What is the weather like at that time and how should I dress? Thank you for your answers! |

Will try to answer to your questions. So:
1. I will try to find it out exactly. 2. It is true. 3. They do. 4. Not common, in average people work 8-9 hours a day and rest on Sunday. 5. To live in Tashkent is more expensive that in other cities. The cost depends on your way of life. 6. Difficult to say, cause for such money is almost impossible to live, though some people manage to do it, salaries begin from 30 US and higher. 7. February is rather cold, sometimes snow sometimes rain, better to take warm clothes with you.
