Hey guys,

We have three days to spend in the cinque terra. We are so not sure which village to spend it in. Have been reading a bit about it and just not sure ! We would like he village to be a little lively with a little nightlife if it does exsist on any of them, but we also want the charm of the villages that i have seen photos of !! Am I asking to much :) Any suggestions ?

I'm not sure how much night life you're looking for but there won't be too much in Cinque Terra, especially Vernazza.

Maybe things have changed in the last few years but I found really no "night life" there. Maybe there would be a little in Monterosso, depending on the time of year.

I think you may find more action at night in Santa Marguerita, Levanto or Sestri Levante just because they are larger and have more hotels, cafe's etc.

There's some nightlife in Monterosso exp during the weekends. But don't expect any if you're going there in novermber-march...
Now unfortunately bars must close at 1am but until then you'll find a nice drunk melting pot at "Fast", a small bar in the old village.

You don't go there for the nightlife!!

Even in the summer things close down by 1AM and it is generally an outdoor cafe.

I have relatives that live in Levanto - the stop after Monterosso, and I can testify that even there it is pretty DEAD!! (and it is a BIG village!)
