Casa Suiza is not in Trujillo, but in Huanchaco, a small and nice village at a 20 minutes by cab range from Trujillo. I strongly recommend you to sleep over there, as this village is really peaceful and lively at night.
The price per night is around 17 soles (5 USD) what is not really expensive. If the owner, Heidi, is still alive, you will taste her unique maracuja-banana marmelade and, believe me, it's worth going there for this only reason !!!
If there is no room in this hotel, you may find some other cheap accomodations close to the beach. Ask anyone in the street or the taxi driver. The village is a tiny one. and everybody may inform you.

Hi Charlotte,

I have just arrived in trujillo today and booked into the casa de cara which seems nice - people are english speaking and do tours as well but also seem to have a good level of knowledge if you want to go independently. Its about a 7-10 min walk from the plaza de amas in city.

Michael and clara are the owners - if you would like more info i can tell you - think im paying $5 US a night for own room.

Dave
