Constanta Travel to Constanta

Hallo,

I'm travelling from Texas, USA to Constanta. Is there a good source for information about flights from Bucharest to Constanta? I've only discovered details about train travel for this leg of the journey. The problem is that return flights leave Bucharest at 08:00AM which is too early to make the connection by train from Constanta. Any suggestions???

Thanks,

Chaz

I checked www.tarom.ro and www.amadeus.net
There does not seem to be any flights. I guess staying overnight in Bucharest is necessary.

If you travel in late October or later on, then mind you that Tarom, just like most schedules in the airline world, change in mid October every year, so they might introduce flights. However the short distance and the fast train service on the given route makes it inefficient, therefore you might have to rely on the train system. You can have yourself booked at EuroHotels, a good and not very expensive 3* unit just near the station, www.eurohotels.ro, rooms are of a better value than in the Ibis across the street and the service is better. If you are on a tight budget, you can stay at the Villa 11, a backpacker's favourite just near the station, find them at 11 Institutul Medico Militar, a block away from the station. However it could be more useful to take an evening train and then get to the airport in the evening, stay for the night at the Sky Gate Hotel, just across the street from the airport, and walk to the airport or have one of their (free) transfers in the morning to the airport: http://www.skygatehotel.ro
Best regards and let me know whether I can be of any further help.

Constanta is only at 150 miles from Bucharest. That's 2 1/2 hours by train, which is comfortable and cheap. Trains are very frequent on this route so you won't have a problem finding one.
So I suggest you choose the train.
