Caye Caulker Accommodation & Diving in Belize
Posted: Fri September 24, 2004 02:02 AM UTC
I'm a backpacker looking to spend some time scuba diving in Belize.

Can you recommend a decent and affordable joint to stay that is affiliated or close by a scuba diving operator?

Have you heard of Ruby's Hotel in San Pedro town?

Any advice would be very much appreciated!

Many thanks,
Johann

Ruby's Hotel is on Ambergris Caye.....if you want to stay there instead of Caulker....it's right on the beach. Small and clean!!

I'm going to Caye Caulker in a few weeks and have been checking the accomodations on net. It seems like 'Tinas backpacker hostel' (http://treasured.travels.tripod.com/TinasBackpackersHostel.htm) is quite cheap. And also 'Tina's Guesthouse' (http://treasured.travels.tripod.com/TinasOnTheBeach.htm), 'Motel 1788' (http://cayecaulker.org/motel1788) and 'Alamars oceanview rentals' (http://www.gocayecaulker.com/members/alamar_rentals.html). Maria,

Thanks a lot for all the web links - they were very helpful.

I hope I can pull this off over Christmas, even if it's only for a week or two.

Enjoy your trip over!

Looking forward to hearing about it on the site.

:)
Cheers,
Johann

Jen,

Thanks for your quick response. Sounds like Rudy's is a possible place to stay.

Cheers,
