My husband and I are going to Jamaica in Jan. W e are staying at the Royal Decameron. We are looking for any info that would help... how is it doing since hurricane Ivan.... ? Will everything be ok in Jan when we go? what r some activities we can do? what does it cost? Any info would be great! Look forward to hearing from u.. Heather

Hi, don't know about the Hurricanes or not But I did hear on the news just last night that the Hurricane season is over after Nov. 30th, I have been to Jamaica with the family b4 and its great the people there are very kind, but remember they make their living off of the tourrists so when u bargain for a price with them make sure they understand you up front. They love to barrter with you about a price and its Fun, but dont let them intimidate you, they will try to make you feel guilty about not stopping in their booth to shop so if you dont want it and they keep pursisting just say no thank you,If you like coffee especially gormet coffees you must try their Blue Mt Coffee, is about $25. a pounds here in the USA so keep that in mind while your there you can get it cheaper. also if you do lots of baking their is nothing better to get than their Benjimans Vanilla, its great to bake with ,take some Home , you can get it at their local supermarkets for a good price so dont pick it up at the shops..also their sightseeing tours are great .they may cost a little more than taking a taxi to all the sights, but remember if you want to take a tour the guides tell you all about the Island and answer all of your Questions.I hope ive been some of a help to you and your family , I had a great time while i was there>>>>>>Tom
