hi, i am planning a trip to almaty in november, and i would like to get some info on staying inexpensively in almaty. i also want to travel to the polygon area of the country because i am scouting locations for a friend who wants to make a documentary about the country. i would like to get info about in-country travel and if there are restrictions.
any advice would be most welcome! |

You have to arrange accomodation and an invitation in advance, otherwise you can't travel in kazakhstan! Remember it is stone cold in Kazakhstan by then, and transportation because of snow can be heavy!
Have a google check on hotel, I should stay in a relaible hotel, as Almaty is criminal in some parts! Surely you dont feel fine on the streets at night as I expierenced!
