I am visitng shenyang to view steam engines at the end of october. I am thnking of staying at the Gloria Plaza as it has a disco and is in the thick of it. It seems the Globe is the biggest disco in town, is this the place to be on a friday night ??.
If anyone is intersted in taking me round Shenyang to find the railway sheds, the museum and any good photographic vantage points for taking picture of steam engines I can make it well worth their while.

there is a steam train museum in shenyang that i want to visit. in western shenyang, it had been a heavy industrial zone with a lots of steam times machine, but now, most factory closed. i also like to take photo of these aged scene, i have some photo of old building which had been destructed.

i don't know gloria plaza disco, but i know other night life place, irish bar, someplace else, dawning street......

Hi there. I'm from the Chicago, USA but I've been in Liaoning China for over 2 years in and around Shenyang. I and my girlfriend (who used to be a tour guide) know lots of places to get pics of old steam engines. Have you been to Tiefa?

Well besides steam engines, there are a few places to party on Fridays. Last time I went out it seems lots of foreigners are going to Bee House now. And depending on what time of music u like you can go to Don't Tell Mama over in "Korea Town" Not many foreigners but it's still pretty cool.
