Happy to help you; but what is the question – your luggage, things that you MUST take along…?
Warm clothing and shoes on high track (~ 1.5 cm) is important I think, cause you’ll be there in most cold/snowing/raining/windy seasons )-. Electricity adapter probably, minimum medicaments and other stuff which you could buy there… Ek is civilized city, you know…) And yes - don't forget you cellular phone!

Contrary to the previous posters, I would say: do not overdo. Warm clothing is very important, but it is way easier to buy it in Russia than in Taiwan. Just make sure you have enough clothes so that you do not freeze to death on your way from the airport to the hostel. Also, if you use some medications regularly, be sure to have the names written in Latin: they may be available in Russia, but under a different name. Second to the tip on voltage and socket adaptors.

Most of the hings you can buy there on the markets, the things are often cheaper then in your own country, ask around for second hand shops so you can buy a good warm coat, and thake thermal underwear with you.
You wont get bored in Ekaterinburg it is a nice town, and lots of things to do, some disco are expencive but you will enyou your time!
