Thank you, waiting for a reply, Liana
If the trip planner says you can make it in 4 minutes than you can asume you can. The trip planner however asumes you are a normal, healthy adult. However, in stead of taking the 18:46 out of Groningen you could take the 18:31, which gives you more time to change in Zwolle. The transfer time in Groningen is shorter, but since it's on the same platform this should be doable. Go to www.ns.nl and plan Winsum - Bad Bentheim there, it will give you platform numbers. For the rest of the trip use www.bahn.de, which will give you platform numbers for Germany.

4 minutes to change trains at Zwolle is not much. But ..... Both trains are Intercities and the Dutch railways have a policy to delay the departing train up to 5 minutes max if necessary. You have to go from track 1 to 7 at Zwolle and I know that's little time indeed. The train to Deventer starts at Zwolle, so that one will have no delay. You are totally dependent on your train from Groningen running on time. If you don't want to rush at Zwolle take the 18.06 Intercity from Groningen. PJ

Thank you very much, KVB and PJ...I looked at the www.ns.nl...there, the arriving time is 19.37...so, I will have 11 min. Which time is good? It will be hard for me to arrived earlier in Groningen...:-( Thank you for helping me, Liana, Cluj-Napoca, Romania

The times on www.ns.nl are ofcourse good, and so are those on www.bahn.de. The difference is that the NS website propose you to take an earlier train from Groningen to Zwolle, which means that the transfer time in Zwolle becomes longer, but the transfer time in Groningen is shorter. The 3 minutes transfer in Groningen is not a problem however, as it's on the same platform (both trains will be on the same track, one behind the other). So NS is not showing you a different arrival time, it's showing you a completely different train altogether.

What's stated on your ticket? My last ticket (to London) stated: From any station in the Netherlands to London. PJ

Sure you can take any train you like. For normal domestic Dutch trains there is never a restriction on what trains you can take.

There is a note...Please Note: When travelling with Thalys or to Germany with a Discount or Super Discount ticket you are obligated to travel with the selected train. For all other trips you may deviate from the shown schedule, as long as the trip takes place on the same route as is indicated on your ticket. Liana

Only the Deventer - Bad Bentheim D20:19 A21:18 IC - 243 is a NS HiSpeed train, all others are plain NS trains. The Deventer - Bad Bentheim D20:19 A21:18 IC - 243 is the last international train that day, departed from Schiphol Airport Amsterdam with final destination Berlin. PJ
