Hi!
We are travelling through Zurich on our way back from our Italian holiday. Reaching morning flight in second week jun, leaving 1245 hr the next day. Family of four with grown up daughter and 14 years old son. Need to stay for a day in a hotel, preferably offering free shuttle from and to airport, which could be a fun hanging out place for the children and us? And maybe some leisurely activity in the evening?
Thanks a lot
Can I view pictures on line--Johann Franz Strickler?

Hi,
I have been to Interlaken before. This time, we will travel with small kids (age 4,2,1). We, adult of 7 would like to go for daytour to heidiland or interlaken or titlis. Do you know which operator provide this service? I have found viator, Best of Switzerland tour agent but I would like to have more options. We will be staying in Zurich for 3 nights.
Hi...traveling to Zurich from Ohio in mid February, which airplane is the most comfortable for travel...airbus operated by Swiss, Boeing 737 and 767 operated by United, or the one operated by American. The American one has mixed reviews. It's a much smaller plane and its a 13 hr trip.
Hi All! Sorry if this is a dumb question (I'm sure it is!) but my husband and I will be in Zurich in Feb for 3 nights and are looking for a hotel in the mountains. I'm not sure we'll actually ski but we're just looking for a hotel with lovely views etc. I'll be in Zurich earlier in the week for work (staying at Dolder Grand Hotel, which looks amazing), so for the weekend I was looking for something a bit different. But, if we stay in mountains somewhere and don't ski, do you think we'll be bored for three days? Is it better to just stay in Zurich? Any info is much appreciated!
Dear All, I'm planning for my next year trip to Zurich in May 2013. I'm trying to google search for hostel (2 persons per room) but unable to find those with CHF 45 per person. I'm ok with share bathroom. Any idea of good hostel within this range? Thanks a lot. Regards, Aodreen

Is this enough to go through customs, security and immigration at the zurich airport? or should i look for connecting flights with bigger gap? approx how much time customs, security and immigration takes if someone with schengen visa is travelling from vienna to lyon through zurich
Has anyone heard of this Inn or B&B, the WoJia? I was thinking of staying here but wanted to check in w VT. Planning a trip for late July 2012.
Hi, My husband & I are Indian nationals(Having Indian Passport) residing in US. We are in Germany on Schengen Visa. He is on business visa & I on tourist. We are scheduled to go back to US by mid of may. We are now planning to go to Zurich for 2 days before that(for tourism). It was not in the itinerary and we had not mentioned it to the German consulate while applying. Can we go to Zurich? Do we require any documents/visa?
We will be in Zurich for 4 days. What are interesting places to visit in Zurich and cities nearby? Thanks.
Our family has a layover in Zurich landing 6:15 am and departing 12:45 pm, 6 and a half hours. Is there time enough to see or do anything? Does it take much time going through immigrations? Could I buy a train ticket out and then back?
Will be travelling to Zurich from Vienna in October. Can we cover the city in 2 days? Please recommend hotels and restaurants we should check out. Thanks
I am looking at flight options to go from Luxemburg to Munich and one option on Lufthansa is to transit through Zurich. I think there is about 1hr 40 minutes for transit. Is that enough time? On a slightly related note, I heard that there is a Sprungli store at the airport where I can get the famous luxemburgerli. Would I have enough time to buy them? Is the store on the air side or land side? Thanks.
Can someone out there please tell us the approximate distance and driving time from Zurich to Vienna. We would probably rent a car in Zurich.? Also travel time and distance from Vienna to Cjesky Krumlov in the Cjech Republic ? Thank you.
Can you suggest a reasonably priced restaurant that is lively and has good food? I will arrive on Sunday afternoon and leave at noon the next day. What should I see in such a short time?

Hi everyone! My mate and I are flying into Zurich on the 6 of March. I was wondering if anyone could recommend some things to do in Zurich and around Switzerland and perhaps even some cheap accommodation? We're into adventure sports (such as bungee jumping, snow boarding etc), sight seeing, we're also keen to see the alps but have no idea on where to start with that, so any advice about that would be much appreciated. We were thinking we would take the train to Interlaken at some point as it seems cheaper to stay there, then do adventure things like canyoning and bungee jumping etc. Thank you for taking the time to read my msg!
Hi, We will be heading to Zurich next weekend and we are looking for an affordable place to stay. Any recommendations for hotels, guesthouses, b&b's? Thanks.
I'll be travelling with Swiss Air in the beginning of July and I'll have between the connection flights few hours (4h20min), which will leave me & my family max of 3 hours (taking in consideration the bording time etc) to spend wisely. We'd love to have a short trip into Zurich. Can anybody, which has been in Zurich, give any advice on a good trip i.e. sightseeing, maybe a coffee-shop, where to find good chocolate at affordable prices, a good supermarket etc? oh... and how to get fast into town? Thank you.
Good Day! I am visitng mainly Berne in the first week in March, but will have two full days in Zurich and love to stay in a hotel walking distance from main attractions (bars, restaurants, sighseeing). My price points is no more than170 per night if all possible. I am dizzy from reading so many reviews most of them are very good but would like recommendations from this expert forum. I try to stay away from the Hilton, Holiday Inns, Marriott chains preferably as we have all those in the US. I prefer something Swiss if possible. Your feedback will be greatly appreciated! Laura
My husband is working in USA and having a valid visa (L1) till 2013. We have an 11 hours stop over in Zurich while returning to USA from our India trip sometime within next 6 months. Can we visit zurich during this short stop over without transit visa. If NOT, please guide us how to apply the same from USA.
I have flown from Zurich to UK and to Germany. When arriving in UK, there is customs to go through, but in Germany, one airport there was none (I think Frankfurt) and in another there was (Munich). Is there any rule on this or does each country have a different policy on flights arriving from Zurich? I flew with Swissair. Thanks all.
I arrive in Zurich early 1/15/12. I have business meetings Tuesday and Wednesday, leaving Thursday. I need to see the very best in two days. I am wide open for suggestions. I'll list my preferences....cigars, hockey, chocolate, whiskey. Not necessarily in that order. I know the weather may make this daunting, but I am totslly game. Any suggestions?
My flight arrives in Zurich. What is the best way to get to Meiringen where our tour starts? I will be traveling in Aug, 2012.
