Free n easy in Switzerland

My husband and I will arrive Zurich @ 2045 on 17May09,we had booked an 8day (23 may to 29may) tour with Cosmos Tour,which will take us to ST Moritz,Tirano,Lugano,Tasch,Lausanne Gruyere,Berne, and Lake Lucerne. we have 5 days on ourself and wonder if anyone can suggest what/where we can go, we are retirees (60+) and prefer to look at local lifestyle,villages,old towns, but not hiking We wold be staying @Bristol Hotel.We also need information on transport. We are from Singapore.
