What is the best way to get from the ixtapa airport to zihua WITHOUT GETTING RIPPED-OFF? Thanks, Gary
Hi, does anyone have any photos of Bungelows Las Urracas? it sounds great but I can't find pix anywhere !
Someone brought my attention to Zihuatanejo while discussing places we had rented for 3-4 months in Mexico.. I am looking for a relatively inexpensive apartment or small house with 2 bedrooms, fully furnished for 2009 (Jan. Feb.Mar.April) I do not want to pay more than500.00 per month. I am retired with only a small pension...I love to visit the markets and cook my own meals..also enjoy practicing my spanish with the locals...No need for a lot of entertainment. Am I dreaming ? If so, perhaps there might be an alternate location that would suit my budget. Anyone with info would be much appreciated...
How do I find bus schedules going from from Puerto Vallarta to Zihatanejo on the internet or an alternative source? In particular is there a bus directly to Zihatanejo? Thank you in advance.
I was wondering if there is such a thing as safe cheap bus transportation from mexico city to zihuatanejo? From what I have seen the first class buses are like400 US dollars. If anyone knows if there is a cheaper bus line that runs that is safe I would love to hear aobut it. And if you have any Idea as to the schedule is or how to obtain it that would be nice as well. Thank you soooo much!
I will be travelling to Zihua for a week mid december with a bunch of friends adn family before i get married in Mexico city. Interested in opinions on fun things to do......... good restrauents etc. Any tips welcome cheers
Hi! Any suggestions about snorkling in Zihuatanejo? I saw a suggestion online about off of las Gatas Beach. Is it safe to do just by yourself? Where to go? Thanks!
Hi! Which is better? We will be near La Ropa Beach, Zihuatanejo. How much does it cost? Thanks!
How much is the taxi fare from the airport to Villas San Sebastian in Zihuatanejo? I believe it is up on a hill overlooking la Ropa Beach. Thanks!
I am arriving by cruise ship for one day on 9Oct with my family, 6 adults and 4 children. We want to have some sun and fun, but maybe experience a little shopping. I keep hearing Playa Las Gatas is the place to go and good for the kids (ages 6-10). Any suggestions or recommendations would be appreciated. Thank you, David
Hello everybody, I have all the info about Ixtapa and Zihuatanejo. Please feel free to e-mail me if you need help.
I'm flying into Mexico City at 10:10pm. How long does it take to clear customs? What night bus should I take to get to Zihuatanejo? How long will it take to get from the airport to the bus station? Thank you for your replies (I hope) :)
I'm arriving in Mexico City (airport) at 10:10pm on my way to Zihuatanejo. I do not want to spend the night in Mexico City waiting for a flight the next morning. Are there any night trains / buses from Mexico City to Zihuatanejo? Thank you.
Hi all! Anyone know the best way to get to Zihuatanejo? We are using sky miles, so have to fly into MEX, I believe. I have found flights from there, but so far, no luck with buses. Could a travel agent there book a collectivo from mexico city? thanks! cameron
Has anyone stayed at the Casa Adriana, overlooking La Madera and the bay? Any comments, advice would be appreciated. We are looking for a one week rental at around75/night for two. Thanks for any info.
I'm thinking of taking a family vacation to Zihua this December for a couple of weeks. I've got a 1-1/2 year old and a 3 year old. Any thoughts on if Zihua's a good choice for kids this young? any suggestions for family friendly accomodations?
My husband and I are planning to spend a week in Zihuatanejo next Feb/Mar, and are trying to decide whether we should stay in La Ropa or La Madera. We are looking for a quiet peaceful area with nice sandy white beaches, palm trees, a few palapa bars/restaurants, and not too many people. Our budget will allow us between50-$100 per night for a beachfront bungalow/condo/apartment with an ocean view. We were concerned that La Ropa might be too far to walk back to from the downtown area at night, or even during the day. Do busses run between the two beaches at night, are taxis affordable? We had checked out Bungalows Pacificos website, and it seemed fairly nice and within the budget (only just!). Has anyone stayed there? Any reviews or info on the place? Any help and advice on accommodations, etc would be greatly appreciated as this will be our first visit to this part of Mexico, and we would like it to be a fun and positive visit! Please email me with any info, advice, etc at mexicruiser@VTmail.com Thanks in advance. Anne
A friend and I are traveling to Zihuatenejo mid April and are looking a unique hotel that is reasonably priced. We're looking for something that has some personality, is on or near a good beach and is located close to downtown Zihuatenejo. I know that's quite vague, but we're looking to be in a spot that doesn't feel so 'touristy' and experience the culture as much as possible. I welcome any other tips on nightlife, restaurants, & must do activities. Thanks!
We're spending 10 days in Zihua at the new Club Intrawest. Other than their onsite restaurant(s), what restaurants in Zihuatanejo do you recommend? Interested in all price ranges. Gracias!
Anyone stayed at the new Club Intrawest in Zihuatanejo? Interested in getting some info... haven't found much searching the Web so far.
im looking r a long term rental for 6 months anybody have any ideas. i would perfer a house or bungalow but dont want to pay over 500 dollars a month
hi, everyone -- thanks for the answers to my previous Qs. i appreciate it. my friends and i have settled on going to the ixtapa/zihuatenejo area. now we are debating various resorts that i can get thru my time-share weeks (the less said about THAT, the better!). can anyone compare any of all of the following resorts, especially as to niceness of accommodations, niceness of beach? all are in ixtapa, except the villa vera puerto mio. -- villa vera puerto mio (in zihuatenejo) -- RHC/park royal villas -- sun club/intercontinental plaza ixtapa (maybe now or formerly under name of costa real ixtapa?) -- pacifica master sands -- pacifica golf -- pacifica sands -- ocean imperial club (also known as radisson resort) -- riviera beach resort and spa thanks very much -- susie margaret
I am looking to spend a week or two in Zihuatanejo in Feb/Mar. I would like to pay25 or less/night. I do not need anything fancy, but clean, quiet, not too remote. Any suggestion appreciated.
hi -- two women friends and i are considering both zihuatenejo and isla mujeres as a vacation destination. does anyone have a comparison to make, to help us decide which to choose? thanks -- susie margaret
hi -- i belong to a time-share assn (the less said about THAT, the better!), and the only member resorts in the ixtapa-zihuatenjo area are in ixtapa. if i get a place in one of these resorts, how far is it from ixtapa to zihuatenejo (in time, not distance)? is there a local bus that goes from one to the other? how much is it? is it regular? how late does it run? is it a hassle to get to the bus stops? if there is no bus, how do people (real people, not rich tourists) usually go back and forth? thanks -- susie margaret
I found a cute B&B in Zihautanejo; but it seems to be new. The owners want 50% of the fee sent via Western Union. How can I be sure they're legit? The name is Quinta Camelinas. THX!
