Yes, Open for everyone, I think fastest one is Taipa - Hengqin Border. Make sure, ask any local there as well.

I would use Wanzai as it is easier to get to.

Just noticed the date -October 01. I would allow three hours no matter which entrance you use as it is Chinese National Day and everyone is on holidays so plenty will visit Macau.

If you are able to change plans I would suggest going to Shenzhen from Guangzhou and getting then getting a ferry to Macau. It will likely be much faster overall as Customs/Immigration will be significantly faster.

Hi Thanks all!! I finally decided to leave the day before (sept 30) and went to Hengqing border. They do open at 9am only (that was too late to catch my plane at 10h10) and close at 20h00. Extremely smooth, few people in front of me and it took us 5 minutes to cross. As we arrived at the border at 19h45, no transportation was available. No bus, no taxis (we were the last one to cross), so it was really not looking good anymore! They were starting to close the big gates outside, and it was raining heavily.. Finally, I found one custom agent helped us to book taxi. So I still recommand this crossing, but dont arrive after 19h00 I guess... Thanks all!

May be its because National Day Holidays in China, many peoples (workers) taxi drivers go back to home towns. First hand experience can not beat any tips we get, and it is more fun getting stuck and then try solving the problem, keep discovering.

Glad it went well. It is always a problem travelling in China during National holidays as things change so much so it does pay to multiple options.
