Hi All, Having been twice to the Bernese Oberland fancied a change. Is this a good area to do some hiking and is there a lot of things to do. Can anyone recommend a good apartment for 2 in the centre of the village.
in the Bernese Oberland you have definitely 20x as many hiking possibilities as in Zell am See. Zell am See has mainly Schnittenhöhe, with is nice for a single day maybe, BUT you will never see lots of snowcovered mountains like in Interlaken, Wengen or Muerren etc. A great excursion from Zell am See by postal bus or car: Grossglockner Hochalpenstrasse, a really great area for several days of hiking, they also have good mountain-hotels there Kitzsteinhorn is a glacier closeby, skiing all year is possible there !
