Hello Eric! I just got back from Zamboanga last Friday. I stayed at the Grand Astoria Hotel (a bit of a big name for a small hotel). The hotel is along main street Zambo and very accessible to PUVs. It is clean and comfy, most important of all, the rates are reasonable. e.g., P695 for a standard single room good enough to be shared by 2 pax. A double room is P995.

It is mostly used by business travelers and locals for their family affairs so it is quite reputable. The price of food isn't bad either. A dinner for 3 can cost you something like P750++.

    Their phone # - (062)991-2510 to 12/ (062)991-2518
