Chimfunshi Wildlife Sanctuary

Hi,I'm thinking of travelling to Chimfunshi to work for a couple of months around June-july of this year, I just wondered if anyone has been to the sanctuary and can tell me a bit about the area? I read a good deal on the internet about this area in zambia not being that safe, and just wondered how safe and easy it is to get transport from the airport to the sanctuary? Also is there email facilities and shops nearby?
