I am travelling to Krakow next week and wish to visit Zakopane. Is it better to go by Bus/Coach or Train? Also, if Bus/Coach, which is the best company to travel with?
We took the bus I believe because we read it was faster then the train. In anycase I doubt you have to choose a company, just go to the bus station and buy a ticket to Zakopane.

We travelled to Zakopane in early June. Spoke to several tourists and natives about the best way to do it. All agreed...take the bus. Less time and quite comfortable. There were a couple of stops, but overall the most efficient way to travel. You have a short walk from the bus station to the main street. Watch for the "sleeping knight" along your way... it's a mountain formation which the Poles speak of. It is pictured on my Zakopane page. Go to the bus station in Krakow for times, rates.
